The T-Mobile Dash is HTC's First Open-Faced Full-keyboard Smartphone with WIFI - HTC's thinnest Smartphone makes it possible to communicate, share, listen and work wirelessly on a cutting edge design.
Oct 11, 2006 - High Tech Computer Corp. (HTC), the world's leading provider of Microsoft® Windows Mobile®-based devices, launches the it's first full-QWERTY Smartphone: the very powerful, stylish and sleek T-Mobile Dash. The Dash Smartphone from HTC features a unique soft-touch exterior, packed with the latest Windows Mobile® 5.0 technology; enabling people to work, play and stay connected easily, efficiently and effectively. T-Mobile Dash allows you to stay in touch with loved ones via a unique calling plan (T-Mobile myFaves), connect to data networks via Wi-Fi, experience music and video on the go, access all Mobile Office applications, send and receive push e-mail, and browse the Internet - all on a device that's sleek, smart and complete.
HTC has close to a decade's worth of experience designing and building reliable and versatile devices with one of the deepest research and development labs in the Smartphone industry standing behind it's latest creation the T-Mobile Dash. HTC continues this tradition by offering an 'all-in-one' Smartphone perfect for all users-from the busy parent who needs to connect with work and family; the entertainment fan who wants to take their music on the go, or the mobile pro that needs a solid mobile computing experience - without giving up on fun.
"Our goal at HTC has always been to create devices that let people communicate, work and entertain themselves whenever and wherever they choose" said Todd Achilles, vice president of sales and marketing for HTC America. "The T-Mobile Dash represents another major breakthrough in product design and we couldn't be more excited to bring this new full keyboard device to market with our partner T-Mobile"
I have purchased the HTC Dash for my personal cell phone to replace a previously purchased HTC Compact PDA Phone with QWERTY Keyboard (the T-Mobile MDA) because the MDA for my personal taste was too bulky (seemed like a devise best suited for a woman who could carry it in her purse), even though I was in love with the functionality of the device. This phone; the Dash, better suits my cell phone needs, The biggest need of a all was for a cell device that was not too big to carry comfortably. The Dash does everything that the MDA did, but at half the size, and for the same price. And Since it is Windows based, I make all my own wallpapers and ringtones, and can easily upload any video files that are worth sharing "on the go."
